While the spacious rooms offered plenty of room to move, I was disappointed by the hotel's outdated facilities and cleanliness issues. The breakfast selection could definitely use improvement, and I found the location a bit inconvenient. However, the staff's friendliness did soften some of the negative aspects of my stay.

Rooms
5.0
I appreciated the spaciousness of my room, which allowed for a comfortable stay. However, the overall condition was poorly maintained, with peeling wallpaper and stained carpets.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly, but I did encounter a lack of professionalism at times. My check-in experience was frustrating when I was told my room wasn't ready, even though others were checked in after me.
Location
5.0
The hotel is quite a distance from the city center, making it less convenient for sightseeing. On the plus side, there's a tram station nearby, which somewhat mitigated the issue.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast left much to be desired, as many items felt mediocre and fatty. I think the kitchen could certainly improve the quality of their food offerings.
Facilities
5.0
The overall facilities seemed dated and not well maintained, which was disappointing. I did find basic amenities like mini-fridges in the room, but not much else was up to par.

6.8/10

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Hotel Brussels. While the spacious room provided a comfortable atmosphere and the bed allowed for good sleep, the overall environment felt quite dated and a bit neglected. Transportation to the hotel was a hassle and made it less convenient for short stays. Given these issues, I would consider looking for a more centrally located option next time.

Rooms
6.0
My room was large and the bed comfortable, though the pillows were quite flat. However, the smell of the carpet was off-putting, and the windows being open made my room noisy. I also struggled with insufficient electrical sockets.
Service

Staff at the front desk were helpful when I needed assistance, but my initial experience was marred when my room wasn’t cleaned on the first day. They did offer clean towels, which was appreciated.
Location

The hotel's location wasn't ideal for me since it was quite a trek from public transport stations, requiring multiple changes. It’s far if you’re only staying for one or two nights.

The room had a mini fridge, which was handy, but overall the facilities felt basic and dated. The hot water availability was also inconsistent during my stay.

I found the hotel charming in its historic aspect, but it really feels like it needs a serious update. The room I stayed in was quite spacious, which was a plus, but the general condition was lacking, with some signs of wear and tear. Also, the breakfast didn’t quite meet my expectations, although I appreciated it being available on-site.

The staff were friendly and nice, which made some aspects of the stay more pleasant. However, the hotel seemed understaffed and disorganized, as evidenced during my interactions.
Location

I liked the location for transport, as it was well connected to the city center via the tram. However, it felt quite far from the main attractions, which could be inconvenient for some.
Dining

Breakfast was mediocre, lacking in quality, though it was convenient to have it available at the hotel. I expected a bit better given the setting.

While there were some basic facilities like mini fridges in the rooms, they could use some upgrades. The overall maintenance didn’t inspire confidence.

My stay at this hotel was a mixed bag. The spacious room was definitely a plus, but the dated decor left much to be desired. The breakfast was decent but not included, and navigating to the hotel from the main station proved a bit cumbersome.
